Group Members' Bios


  • Geoff Harper
  • Geoff Harper is a graduate of Cornish College of Fine Arts and one of Seattle's finest "homegrown" bassists. He spent two years in Los Angeles studying with Ray Brown protege' John Clayton. Geoff is currently playing with the Dawn Clement Trio, Bebop and Destruction, the Greg Sinibaldi Quartet and the Ryan Burns Trio. He is also sought after as a teacher and freelance bassist. Geoff maintains a full teaching schedule as an instructor at the Seattle Drum School. On Monday evenings he hosts a concert/jam session event at the performance space at the SDS called "THE L.A.B." which features a variety of artists and combinations of instrumentation.

  • Matt Page
  • Matt is one of the newest rising stars on the Seattle Jazz scene. He attended college at Olympic College in Bremerton and spent the last two years in Los Angeles studying at the Musicians Institute with Joe Porcaro, Chuck Flores and others. His main mentor is the great Jeff Hamilton and Matt studied very extensively with him while there in L.A. Matt is also a member of the Bellevue Community College Jazz Ensemble directed by legendary jazz educator, Hal Sherman and also is a member of the Chris Morton Trio. He maintains a busy schedule as a teacher and freelance drummer in the Seattle scene. Matt is also playing Remo Drums and Boshphorus Cymbals.

  • Greg "Bam Bam" Williamson
  • Greg began playing drums and piano at an early age and by the time he hit high school, he had won several college festival awards. In 1986 he gained a degree in jazz studies from Western Washington University, also studying classical percussion & composition. While in college, he mentored with jazz drummers Jeff Hamilton and Mel Lewis - and bassists John Clayton and Ray Brown. He has toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Woody Herman's Young Thundering Herd,the Harry James Orchestra, Steve Allen, Ernestine Anderson, Dee Daniels and performed with Rosemary Clooney, The Mills Brothers, Anita O'Day, Helen Forest, Helen O'Connell, Art Lund, and others. In 1994, Greg formed Pony Boy Records, an affable moniker for promotion and distribution of jazz recordings. Pony Boy Records has grown to more than 30 releases and has allowed Pony Boy Records to help jazz artists with the tools of music to promote concerts, tours and gigs. Greg Williamson endorses and plays Garcia snare drums,and Bosphorus cymbals (Hammer & Master Series). He also plays Gretsch drum sets, DW hardware, and uses sticks and brushes from RegalTip (Hamilton and Elvin), and Hinger Timpani mallets. He uses Digidesign Pro Tools with Waves plug-ins, as well as many Macintosh hardware products.

  • Andrew Glynn
  • Andrew, like his brother bassist Michael Glynn, is a graduate of Clarence Acox's fine program at Garfield High School in Seattle, WA. He has worked as a saxophonist on both alto and tenor in various groups in the Seattle area including the Reuel Lubag Hardbop Quartet, the Glynn Brothers Quartet, the Emerald City Jazz Orchestra, and the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra to name but a few. An aggressive improviser, he demonstrates the great saxophone tradition with a wide range of influences from Prez to Coltrane, and from Coleman Hawkins to Sonny Rollins.
